iJoomla: one of Joomla's leading commercial software firms has released an update to their flagship Joomla extension; Newsportal 1.5.6.

We here at Joomla Views use this extension on our front page and all our category pages as it is a very user friendly and easy to use newsportal system allowing for automatic news flows where the new items are listed on top, pushing down older articles as new ones are posted.

The changelog includes the following: 

Version 1.5.6 (Joomla 1.5)

• Fixed  - problems with login module
• Fixed - characters cut in intro for Greek and Arabic languages
• Fixed - featured categories show only categories having their parent the current section
• Fixed - registered articles show on frontpage
• Fixed - admin: content items ordering
• Fixed - admin: some notices and separators issues
• Fixed -admin: Warning: file_exists() open_basedir restriction in effect. templateDetails.xml is not within the allowed path
