JoomlArt releases a total lame template with JA Fedora.
JoomlArt really showed their bad site when they first released JA Fedora on a Saturday (April 5, 2008), a first and I certainly hope a last for them as it took days to mop up the problems from the initial launch.
what can we say about JA Fedora? Sadly, not a lot. It was not greeted with a lot of enthusiasm by the JoomlArt club members, being seen as a very basic template and not in line with what JoomlArt has released in the past.
It does offer the option for a text logo with a slogan rather than an image logo, which is starting to be a standard amongst template creators these days and we applaud this functionality,
The JA_vars file that stores the template setups was messed up in the initial release but upgraded to include the options available for each variable, also another great feature and a standard to keep.
JA Fedora features
- Professional and Artistic Design
- 3 column layout based template (narrow and wide only)
- 4 color options (blue, orange, green and red)
- Tableless design and 100% CSS-based
- Joomla 1.0.x + Joomla 1.5.x compatible
- 3 Menu options: JA Split menu, JA CSS menu, JA Moo menu
- XHTML 1.0 Transitional CSS Validates
- Valid 508 Accessibility
- Delivered with source .PSD and FONT files and quick start
- Well-commented template_css.css and index.php file for flexible customization
- Cross Browser Support
JA Fedora most appreciated feature is by all means the four color variations, Blue, Orange, Green and Red.
Verdict
Other than the color variations and some nice mouse over css for the bottom columns, I cannot help to think that this is an extremely basic template. No additional layouts, modules or anything extra to validate this being released as a commercial template rather than an extra free one. JA has started to go down a slippery sloap, I really hope that their next template JA Teline II due to be released on April 21, 2008 will prove to turn things around for them. This template; JA Fedora, fails to impress my even lowest expectations.Purchase: JoomlArt Fedora Demo: JA Fedora Template
